Chris Carmen’s Bumble and Bumble Salon, ZINC, located in the scenic Unionville district of Farmington, opened to great buzz in 2009. ZINC’S phenomenal atmosphere- a posh environmental blend of the warm naturalistic and the trendy industrial, is unlike any salon in northern CT. With huge skylights, plant life, oversized mirrors and the soul of the most relaxing ultra-lounge , ZINC truly reinvents the salon formula in the 21^st century.

 Western Mass native,Chris has been a popular hair stylist in CT for over 20 years. It was his 2 decades of success in the beauty and hair industry that prompted him to open ZINC. With an all star staff of seasoned professionals, each bringing there own style and expertise to the table,and his knack for handselecting top notch stylists,Chris has created a dynamic team at the salon, able to create anything desired by ZINC’s valued clients.

“People ask me to really describe ZINC all the time. What makes us unique...”says Chris. “The first word that comes to mind is unstuffy. Creativity is key here- and it’s not your mother’s Unionville.” He adds with a smile. "We wanted to create an artistic atmosphere with zero attitude or salon pretentiousness.
